Fatapple's is a well-loved local restaurant that has been here for years. Located in a relatively quiet commercial strip in the largely residential area of North Berkeley. They have a bakery adjacent to them and good solid food. Don't forget to stop by the bakery and get some scones for later :-) Kid friendly. We definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I was just saying to folks that it's a neighborhood gem. The only restaurant within many blocks, and it is the perfect solution for breakfast OR lunch. Delicious food; low prices; friendly, caring servers -- thank God it exists! UPDATE: I've now had dinner at FatApple's several times, and it's amazingly good ... a nice variety, but I often order whatever the special is that evening. I defy you to find better prices in Berkeley for the value you get here.

I love fat apples, the pancakes and food are really high quality, the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. The price is fair, and there is enough seating. Would recommend as a breakfast spot.

Delicious food, at a pretty affordable price. This place has been here for fifty years, and you can tell why. It has charming comforting quality. The service from Sylvia was also great.

A great diner, FatApple's reminds me of diners back East. Definitely a go-to spot for family outings.
